About this journey
An Accademia Gallery tour with skip-the-line tickets included is the best way to meet Michelangelo’s David — the most celebrated sculpture in the world. We bypass the queues so you walk straight into one of the most emotional moments any traveller has in Italy.
Beyond the imposing David, you’ll explore other works by the master, a collection of around 300 paintings from the 13th to 15th centuries, beautiful plaster casts of 19th-century sculptures, and rare musical instruments from the Medici and Lorraine collections.
Though smaller than the Uffizi, the Accademia offers an impressive richness of art and culture in a focused, intimate setting — making it an essential stop for anyone visiting Florence. A jewel-box museum that delivers one of the most powerful experiences in all of Italian art.
What you’ll experience
No queues, no waiting. Pre-booked priority entry to the Accademia — bypassing the line that can otherwise stretch for 90 minutes in high season.
Five metres of marble, carved when Michelangelo was 26. Your guide reveals the engineering, the politics and the genius behind the most celebrated sculpture ever made.
Four unfinished sculptures by Michelangelo — figures struggling to emerge from raw marble. Many consider these even more moving than the David itself.
Works from the 13th to 15th centuries, including masterpieces by Botticelli's contemporaries and the early Florentine school that shaped the Renaissance.
Rare instruments from the Medici and Lorraine collections — including the only surviving viola by Antonio Stradivari. A quiet, hidden treasure of the museum.
Your guide is a certified Florence specialist with deep knowledge of Michelangelo and Renaissance art. Stories, context and meaning — not just dates.
