Napoli (Naples) and mount Vesuvius in the background at sunset in a summer day, Italy, Campania

About this journey

The most authentic Italian city.

A Naples city tour is the most rewarding way to experience the most authentic and unfiltered city in Italy — a UNESCO World Heritage site that has been continuously inhabited for nearly 3,000 years. Walk through the historic centre and discover a city that lives entirely outdoors, where everyday life unfolds in alleys, piazzas, and church courtyards.

Be enchanted by Spaccanapoli — the long straight street that splits the historic centre in half, dating back to Greek and Roman times. Walk through Via San Gregorio Armeno (the street of nativity scene artisans), see the magnificent Duomo of Naples and the Cappella San Severo (home of the Veiled Christ — one of the most extraordinary sculptures in Italy).

Taste the city’s culinary soul — Naples is the birthplace of pizza, of sfogliatella pastry, of espresso as we know it. A walk that combines art, history, religion and unrepentantly local food culture. The Italy that other Italian cities cleaned up and packaged for tourists — but Naples remains itself.

What you’ll experience

Naples loud, Naples real.

Spaccanapoli

The long straight street that splits the historic centre in half — a Greek-Roman thoroughfare still alive after 2,500 years. The artery of authentic Naples.

The Duomo of Naples

The cathedral of San Gennaro, the city's patron saint. Twice a year, his blood liquefies in a famous miracle — one of the most distinctive religious traditions in Italy.

Cappella San Severo & the Veiled Christ

One of the most extraordinary sculptures in Italy — Giuseppe Sanmartino's Veiled Christ, marble carved to look like translucent silk. Almost impossible to believe it's stone.

Via San Gregorio Armeno

The street of Naples' nativity scene artisans — workshops that have been hand-making presepi (nativity figures) for centuries. Open year-round, magical at Christmas.

The home of pizza napoletana

Naples is where pizza was invented. Margherita, Marinara, the Vera Pizza Napoletana tradition. Your guide tells you where to find the best — the real pizzerias the Neapolitans go to.

An English-speaking guide

Your guide is Neapolitan, fluent in English, and passionate about the city — the only way to navigate Naples' intensity and discover its hidden charm.
