About this journey
A Milan city tour is the most rewarding way to discover Italy’s most modern and elegant city — the capital of fashion, design, finance and one of Italy’s most fascinating cultural destinations. Walk through the historic centre and meet the icons that make Milan an essential stop on any Italian journey.
Be enchanted by the imposing Duomo of Milan, one of the largest and most beautiful Gothic cathedrals in the world — a marvel of marble that took six centuries to complete. Walk through the elegant Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, Italy’s first shopping mall and still its most beautiful. See La Scala, the world’s most famous opera house, and the Castello Sforzesco, the imposing Renaissance castle that ruled Milan for centuries.
Beyond the icons, discover the neighbourhoods that make Milan a living, working Italian city — the Brera artistic district, the Quadrilatero della Moda (fashion quarter), and the corners where the Milanese still meet for aperitivo. A walk that combines history, art, fashion and the pulse of modern Italy.
What you’ll experience
One of the largest Gothic cathedrals in the world. White Candoglia marble, 135 spires, 3,400 statues — six centuries of construction. Your guide explains every detail of the facade.
Italy's first shopping mall (1877) and still the most beautiful. Glass dome, mosaic floors, the iconic bull mosaic that brings good luck (the tradition is to step on it).
The world's most famous opera house. Your guide tells the stories of the great premieres — Verdi, Puccini, Toscanini — and the singers who became legends here.
The imposing Renaissance castle of the Sforza dukes who ruled Milan. The home of Leonardo da Vinci's last work, the Rondanini Pietà by Michelangelo.
The fashion quarter — Via Montenapoleone, Via della Spiga, Via Sant'Andrea. The headquarters of every major Italian luxury brand, the most expensive shopping district in Italy.
Your guide is a certified Milan specialist who knows the city beyond the tourist routes. Portuguese and Italian available on request.
