About this journey
A Venice city tour is the most enchanting way to discover the city of water — one of the most romantic destinations in the world. Walk through the famous canals, the narrow alleys filled with history, and the stone bridges that reveal the unique charm of this magical city.
Be enchanted by iconic sights such as the Rialto Bridge, the majestic St. Mark’s Basilica and the bustling St. Mark’s Square — the pulsing heart of Venice. Your guide brings the history to life — the doges, the merchants, the artists who made Venice the maritime power that ruled the Mediterranean for centuries.
Beyond the classics, discover the secrets hidden in lesser-known neighbourhoods, where the true Venetian soul reveals itself in old taverns (bacari), artisan workshops and corners full of charm. With its rich history, irresistible cuisine and vibrant cultural atmosphere, Venice transforms any trip into an unforgettable memory.
What you’ll experience
The 'most beautiful drawing room in Europe' according to Napoleon. The Basilica, the Campanile, the Doge's Palace — five centuries of Venetian power in a single square.
Byzantine domes, golden mosaics inside, the four bronze horses brought from Constantinople. Your guide explains why Venice looks more Eastern than Italian.
The oldest and most famous bridge over the Grand Canal. Where merchants traded for centuries, and where the best photos of Venice are still taken.
Beyond the postcards — the quiet quarters where Venetians still live, the bacari (wine bars), the artisan workshops. The Venice that locals know.
We pause at a traditional bacaro for a glimpse of Venetian aperitivo culture — cicchetti, an ombra of wine, the social ritual that defines Venetian evenings.
Your guide is a certified Venice specialist who knows the city beyond the tourist routes. Portuguese and Italian available on request.
The tour, step by step

Start
We meet at a quiet location near St. Mark’s Square (agreed in advance). Your guide introduces the tour, the route, and the first stories of Venice.

Time at the most famous square in Venice. Your guide explains the architecture, the Doge’s Palace, the Campanile, and the layered history of the Basilica.
+ 45 min
The pink and white Gothic facade of the Palace, the Bridge of Sighs, the columns of St. Mark and St. Theodore. The political heart of the Venetian Republic.
+ 1.25 h
We leave the crowds behind and walk through Venice’s narrow calli. The quiet courtyards, the small churches, the wells where Venetians once drew water.
+ 1.75 h
The famous bridge and the fish and produce market beside it — still in operation since 1097. The commercial heart of medieval Venice, alive every morning.
+ 2.25 h
We pause at a traditional Venetian bacaro (wine bar) — your guide explains cicchetti culture and the local way of drinking. Wine and small plates optional, at your expense.
+ 2.5 h
Your guide hands you a personalised list of restaurants, bacari, and quiet corners to explore on your own — including which neighbourhoods to wander in the evening.
